Palabek’, award-winning Raúl de la Fuente’s new documentary, joins the list of new projects
Diego Navarro will lead the creation of the original soundtrack for ‘Palabek. Refugio de esperanza’, a Kanai Films documentary directed by Raúl de la Fuente.
Africa is the setting for the filming, bringing the viewer closer to a reality that thousands of people live in a refugee camp in Palabek (a settlement that is still active in northern Uganda) through the experiences of Gladys and Alice, protagonists of the documentary.
This is the first collaboration with director Raúl de la Fuente, winner of two Goya Awards for his previous works. For Navarro, this is not only a challenge due to the complexity of portraying such a harsh reality in his musical score, but also a satisfaction for delving into the heartening message of this film through his creative process.
