Diego Navarro to make Los Angeles debut
On July 22nd, Navarro will make his debut at The Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, conducting the Los Angeles Film Orchestra & Choir, as part of a tribute to the great Basil Poledouris.
Navarro will have the opportunity to perform an extensive Suite from the legendary score that the composer wrote for the film “Conan the Barbarian.” This concert highlight will feature the presence of the film’s director, the legendary John Milius (screenwriter of “Apocalypse Now”).
In 2012, during the official concert celebrating the centenary of Universal Pictures at FIMUCITÉ, Navarro, for the first time, conducted this soundtrack performed by the Tenerife Symphony and the Tenerife Film Choir. To date, the video on the Festival’s YouTube channel has more than 6.7 million views.
