“Time Gate” is a feature animation film directed by Pedro Eugenio Delgado. The legendary Spanish cartoonist Antonio Mingote was the artistic director of the movie. The film tells the story of two siblings children, Paloma and Álvaro that travel back in time by accident, thanks to a time machine created by an old watchmaker (Don Isidro) in Madrid. During their adventure and journey the main characters will travel through time by different historical periods, pursued by an evil sorcerer from the medieval ages called Simeón, who tries to discover how the time machine works. Meanwhile, the watchmaker tries to bring the children back home. The movie was nominated to the Goya Awards in 2003, in the category of “Best Animation Feature”.
