FIMUCITÉ joins the Lustral Festivals of La Gomera
Next October, the Festival Internacional de Música de Cine will make its debut at the Lustral Festivals of La Gomera and will join in the celebration of the descent of the Virgin of Guadalupe with a concert performed by the Tenerife Film Ensemble, which brings together, among other offerings, the best film music composed from the Canary Islands.
The concert will be conducted by Diego Navarro, the Canarian film music composer and conductor with the greatest projection on the islands, and head of FIMUCITÉ. He will be leading the Tenerife Film Ensemble in a concert in which there will be two world premieres specially composed for the event. The Ensemble will lead the audience on a wonderful journey through some of the most intimate film scores, and will perform the music from legendary film “Guarapo” by the Ríos brothers, all of this garnished by other legendary titles of the big screen such as “Cinema Paradiso”, “Legends of the Fall”, “Psycho”, or “In the Mood for Love”, among others.
Special thanks to the organisers of the concert, Xenox Producciones, the Ayuntamiento de San Sebastián de la Gomera and, in parallel, the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Santa Cruz de Tenerife y Superior de Canarias, Federación Tinerfeña de Bandas de Música, as well as Sonafilm for their active collaboration in this project.
