Rocky IV: The Symphonic Rock Suite arrives

For Diego Navarro, a good part of the positive impact he felt when watching Rocky IV was down to the excellent score and songs written by Vince DiCola for the film.

Thirty-five years later, FIMUCITÉ have released this new album, which includes the original recording of the world premiere of the Symphonic Suite of the original score, a score brilliantly arranged by Leigh Phillips, which Diego Navarro had the honour of conducting at the helm of the FIMUCITÉ Youth Symphony Orchestra, with Vince DiCola himself on keyboards.

Maestro Navarro gives special thanks to the Professional Conservatory of Music of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Canarias for their support, as well as Bryon Davis and Peter Hackman for making this record release possible through the Notefornote Music label. This is an event of enormous significance, and a true success of the festival’s educational program, of which he is particularly proud.
