Standing ovation! Unforgettable memories for an unprecedented stage experience.

The 40th Anniversary of the record label Varese Sarabande, held in the Scottish capitals of Edinburgh and Glasgow on November 16th and 17th, is an experience that will always remain in the memory of film music fans.

Patrick Doyle, David Arnold, Rachel Portman, Sara Andon… Rising stars on a firmament of film music that deserve the most devoted admiration and whose musical talent dazzled with the extraordinary performance of the Scottish National Orchestra and Chorus, conducted by Diego Navarro, at the Usher Hall and the Royal Concert Hall.

Robert Townson, craftsman of this experience, was speechless of gratitude with the Spanish composer for his extraordinary work conducting a concert program that summarized forty years of the label’s musical history. The enthusiastic reaction of the audience was a real gift, celebrating with long standing ovations the performance of legendary scores by Alex North, Michael Kamen, Alan Silvestri or Diego Navarro himself, who premiered a symphonic suite from his film “Passage to Dawn”.
